Funeral Notice – Virginia “Ginny” Knott

Virginia “Ginny” (nee Sisian) Knott, age 88, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Gloucester City, NJ, passed away on October 13, 2026.

Born in Camden, NJ, in 1938, Ginny was the daughter of the late Paul and Hripsime (nee Zarzatian) Sisian and a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden. She had a special gift for connecting with people and making friends wherever she went. Ginny loved a good conversation and had a way of making those around her feel welcome, cared for, and remembered.

Ginny enjoyed working at her brother Charlie’s grocery store in Mount Ephraim, NJ. She later spent 30 years at the Acme deli in Audubon, NJ, working until the age of 81, a milestone that spoke to her dedication. Her years of service reflected not only her strong work ethic, but also how much she genuinely enjoyed being around people. Her coworkers and customers became an important part of her life, and many became lasting friends. For Ginny, work was about much more than a job; it was about the relationships she built and the people she saw each day.

After retiring, Ginny moved to West Chester, PA, where she continued to make friends and build connections in her new community. No matter where life took her, friendship seemed to come naturally to her.

Ginny was a sweet, kind, and personable woman who found joy in baking and cooking, sharing that love in ways that brought comfort and happiness to others. She especially loved spending time with her family, and her grandchildren held a very special place in her heart. She also loved all of her dog friends.

Ginny was the beloved wife of the late Charles Knott; loving mother of Susan (Paul) and stepmother of Chuck Knott, Rick Knott, and Dave Knott; adoring grandmother of Paulie, Anna, and her furry grandchildren, Lucy and Lana; predeceased by her siblings, Charlie Sisian (Alice), Mary Momjian (Zareh), and Philip Sisian; caring aunt of Denise Sisian, Rose Pratico, Paul Momjian, and John Momjian; also survived by many cousins.

Ginny will be remembered for her warm heart, outgoing personality, kindness, and genuine love of people. From Camden and Mount Ephraim to Audubon and West Chester, she left a little piece of herself with everyone she met. She touched the lives of countless people through her friendships, her work, her family, and the simple kindness she showed to others.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, former coworkers, customers, and all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on through the many people who were lucky enough to call her family or friend.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation from 6:00–8:00 PM on Monday, October 19, 2026, at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000, and11:00 AM–12:00 PM on Tuesday at Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 101 Ashmead Road, Cheltenham, PA 19021, followed by her Funeral Service at 12:00 PM.
