Join us as we set aside a day to honor all marriages. Marriage was blessed by God at the beginning of time, in the setting of Paradise, and with the challenging and sacred command that two distinct individuals become one distinct couple. In Christ, that relationship takes on even deeper dimensions of selfless love not only for each other but for all of God’s Creation.

Married couples of all ages are invited to be present in church for a brief blessing service, following the Divine Liturgy, to honor this unique relationship and rededicate it to God’s purposes.
Weather permitting, we will go outdoors and have the traditional “jumping the fire” ceremony connected with the celebration of the Lord’s Presentation to the Temple.
