Funeral Notice – Martin A. Attarian

Martin A. Attarian of Doylestown passed away peacefully at the Doylestown Hospital on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the age of 98.

Martin was the son of the late Aram and Vartanoush Attarian. He was born in 1927 in Philadelphia and spent his entire life in southeastern Pennsylvania, residing in Doylestown Township for the last 60 years. He graduated from the Valley Forge Military Academy in 1946 and would later earn an Associate’s degree from Temple University. In 1952, during his 2-year stint in the army, he married his wife Deskouhy and they remained together for 68 years until her death in 2021.

After working briefly in the family candy business, Martin worked for nearly 30 years for the F.W. Woolworth Company as a regional purchaser and maintainer of store infrastructure. After his “retirement”, he worked part time for a local printer for another 30 years and could often be seen driving around the local area making deliveries in his Subaru.

Martin is survived by his children; Aram (Linda) Attarian of Morganton NC; Leon Attarian of Chalfont PA; Edward Attarian of New Britain Township, PA and Lesly Attarian (Phil Charron) of Philadelphia. Also, by his grandson Adam Attarian of Seattle Washington. He was predeceased by: his parents, Aram Attarian and Vartanoush Attarian; and his spouse Deskouhy.

Viewing:

A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 15, at Holy Trinity Armenian Church, 101 Ashmead Road, Cheltenham, PA 19012, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM. 

A committal service will be held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Whitemarsh Memorial Park (1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002).
