Dear Faithful,

As we anticipate the Feast of the Birth and Theophany of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, we are reminded that the spirit of Christmas is love! God loves us so much that He gave His Only Son to us. Jesus was born among us that we may have everlasting life.

I believe that during every Christmas we should allow Baby Jesus to be born in our hearts to make us a better people and lead us throughout our lives. If the Light lives in us, then the darkness has no room. Let us be true witnesses of Christ and spread His life-giving Word among the others.

‘Yughakin’ is a gift to the church which has its origins in the Old Testament, wherein God, speaking to Moses says: “And you shall command the children of Israel to bring you pure olive oil beaten for the light – to cause the lamps to burn always.” Your offering, which is a demonstration of your faith, serves the needs of the House of God so that the lights of prayer may always remain burning there, and in our hearts.

We look forward to your participation in the Christmas Festivities of the Church and invite you to make your Christmas Offering (Yughakin) in thanksgiving to God for His many blessings.
